hello, i am a student doctor and i am really very very embarrased about my bad breath.... which happens sometimes but even i am unaware about when i smell bad.... i am very scared that it will affect my career.... i have done everything possible to keep bad breath at bay.... i brush thrice daily( accompanied by brushing with salt and baking soda too), i use mouthwashes almost thrice a day.... i chew mint gums.... i drink lots of warm water to keep up my hydration, i eat healthy and no sodas or smelly foods like garlic, onion., cheese etc... i exercise regularlly..... i make it a point to eat something to stimulate my saliva production in the morning.... i had calculus in my teeth which i got removed a year back.... i have no periodontal disease, or tonsillitis...... this problem has started making me depressed a lot. and i dont feel confident most of the time...... in fact some of my colleague told me that i am smelling bad and i felt very embarrased. i dont know how i will be able to go and do my residency when i smell so bad which gives a very bad impression....... please help me.

  • For bad breath you should visit your dentist after every six months to get the scaling and polishing done. Some times the bad breath is because of the deposits on the tongue so along with brushing you should clean your tongue regularly. It will help you.
